Chris and his team were excellent. The workmanship was first class, also very tidy and polite. We were over the moon with our laundry upgrade. Our project, which included a new kitchen, bathroom, and a media wall, took approximately five months from February to June 2025. We would highly recommend Chris, and here’s why. From our first meeting, Chris provided a great deal of reassurance and made us feel like we were in safe hands. His project management was excellent; he took care of all the contractors, and the project remained on schedule throughout. We were particularly impressed with the craftsmanship of the carpenters and tilers—their work is truly amazing and a testament to their skill. Chris was also very accessible and always available at the end of the phone, which made the entire process feel very smooth. While our experience was overwhelmingly positive, there are a couple of points we would add as feedback. Chris recommended us to use a preffered kitchen supplier, however, we chose to use a different kitchen supplier as we found the pricing was not competitive for our needs. Additionally, since moving in, we have found a couple of minor plumbing niggles and Chris has been on hand to get these fixed swiftly. We would have appreciated a more thorough final test of the plumbing before handover. Despite these minor issues, the overall experience was fantastic. Chris of CJH is a great project manager and he and his team rescued us at short notice after we had to dismiss the original builder due to very poor and slow work. As soon as Chris was on site the project (conversion of garage and toilet into a shower room and separate laundry) progressed rapidly and was soon completed. The quality of work was first class and all of his team were excellent. We were very happy with the work and asked them to deal with a second project which involved the extension of the first floor bathroom into part of a roof void. Again, the work was soon complete and to a high standard. We are really pleased and have asked CJH to take on the kitchen extension and re-fit. We wanted a new en-suite fitting and a downstairs WC . We also needed the office space refurbished and the lounge floor due to a recent flood. Chris came to do a site visit at a time that was suitable for ourselves, he brought samples of flooring and brochures for us to look through. He provided us with a full written quote with everything detailed with prices . He gave us a time scale for how long the job would take to complete and finished the work before the estimated time scale. His team were friendly and well mannered and kept the job neat and tidy . Nothing was ever too much even when we asked for a couple of extra jobs to be done . We are over the moon with our new en-suite and WC . The new fitted wardrobes make life so much easier with the kids as they can now put their shoes and coats away and keep the office space neat and tidy. From the beginning the guys were friendly, returned messages and phone calls and turned up when they said they would. We had a major kitchen refrub. The work involved walls removed and steel work, through to the final fit. Each tradesman that helped with the work filled me with confidence in their work, skill and knowledge. We are very happy with the work completed and the quality of the finished rooms. The team worked around us and allowed us to keep the house running while the work was carried out. Having two young children, I was a little worried, but they cleaned up every day after the work was complete. He knocked out a cupboard and rebuilt a new wall to make our lounge larger in August 2019. Chris and Ryan were both prompt, reliable and tidy considering there was demolition going on! Chris organised a bathroom remodel for July 2020 which was delayed due to supplies because of COVID19 which can't be helped, but Chris was great and kept us informed. We had various tradesman in our home during the week. Adam the plumber is professional, reliable and brilliant! He was able to install our bathroom to a very high standard and pleased with his work. Kieran also worked on the bathroom and made a great platform for a very heavy shower tray, and both him and Adam installed a new window. Plasterers Malc and Mark did an amazing job on ceiling and walls. Das the electrician did a great job with fitting spotlights and extractor fan which we are pleased with these works. Flooring did cause a few issues due to the batch of flooring which was supplied which was not CJH's fault. However Chris and Adam were able to resolve this issue promptly and happy with the outcome. Overall we love our new bathroom.Posted on GoogleElaine PriceI, like any normal person, get a little anxious about home improvements, especially as we have a disabled child with a lung function disorder, so we have to be careful about dust and chemicals etc, but we desperately needed our bathroom renovated. I'd seen the good reviews for CJH and thought I'd ring them for a quote but the minute Chris walked through the door, I knew I was going to hire him. He was funny, friendly, honest, knowledgeable and professional and when we explained about our childs condition, he was kind, sympathetic and put our minds at ease. He talked us through our options and agreed a price that was more than reasonable. Fast forward a couple of weeks and Adam arrived to start the job. I'm going to name the workers by name because I believe in giving credit where credit is due and these guys deserve all the credit I can give them. Adam the plumber is an absolute wonder. He is friendly, punctual, professional, tidy, extremely hard working and I'd like to say he's a magician because in no time gone was my old maze of pipework which greatly resembled spaghetti junction, replaced by a new toilet, vanity and all new pipework neatly hidden away. Next came Scott to do the tiling etc. Again he was punctual, friendly, professional and extremely hard working. He hardly took a break in the sweltering heat on one of the hottest days of the year. Before I knew it, the bathroom was complete and looks beautiful. I haven't got a bad word or any criticism to say about them, they were great and nothing was too much trouble, and they were always mindful of our childs medical condition. Chris himself, rang me every evening while the job was ongoing to check everything was ok and to explain what would happen next. I would highly recommend them. I won't hesitate to call them for any future home improvements that I would like doing. My only regret is that I didn't come across them sooner for previous work I had done.
